Water is the dominant theme that flows through the oeuvre of Taliaferro Jones whose kiln cast glass sculptures often take on the form of waves. But Jones is also a photographer whose lens captures the many shades and textures of water, resulting in the rich cobalt of Plunge where the subject appears to be thick and syrupy, almost like a jelly, or the steel blue of rain pocked water that still reflects the light. Her subject is so simple, yet has the power to mesmerize.
