Nandita Scillitani's photography has an experimental edge to it, with images that play with the viewer's comfort level. There is a compulsion to turn away, yet look again. Braces, however, is a little different, with a watery veil between the face and tiny violet forms, almost like sugar crystals. The face is a mere blurred backdrop to the hits of colour, light and tinted edges. Melt is a different story altogether, as the subject or person is clearly a key presence in the narrative. Cryogenics Study raises questions of a different nature.
