The Puppet Show is series of work by Winkler + Noah that reminds us that children need to be children. By manipulating slightly the photographs of children aged from two to eight, the artists show us how easily we allow children to be turned into puppets or reflections of our will. They may look like dolls, but on no account should they be playthings. Of course, the subjects of these portraits have been nicely packaged. Would we get the same effect if less pretty portraiture had been presented?
