Artbag is a series of cast-urethane table lamps by Debra Franses Bean. The handbag was a ubiquitous item during the artist's childhood, as her father was in the accessories business. Having such access to handbags, Bean was able to re-purpose bags into dollhouses or treasure chests. Today she embeds found objects into the urethane to create souvenirs of the past. The lamp takes a compact fluorescent 9-watt bulb. Shown above is Metamorphosis.
