The Printmaking Bible by Ann D'Arcy Hughes and Hebe Vernon-Morris is a terrific resource for anyone interested in printmaking. The book, full of history and how-to's, covers five techniques: intaglio, relief, lithography, screenprinting and monotype. Each section includes artist profiles and step-by-step instructions with plenty of illustrations. Although technical in nature, the book is quite accessible in terms of language and clarity. Its handsome presentation is very inviting even to those without printmaking experience.
