Luzinterruptus was responsible for a reading and lighting installation that took place in the streets of Madrid throughout the cold night of January 5th. Various uninviting quarters were made more appealing with the addition of a reading lamp with a book attached. It must have been a bewitching sight: blue light from a traditional lampshade with a mystery novel hanging from a string. Nooks and crannies were made cosy. And for a little while places like an emergency exit, a tramp's cardboard bed, a vandalized condom machine and an out-of-order photo booth became slightly more liveable.
