American Beauty, South is an installation of artist-created billboards on a series of eight motels that line the historic Highway 61 that runs from the Canadian border to New Orleans. The walls that face the street are home to a variety of artistic styles, and each work is highly visible from the street, Airline Drive. The Universal Mule shown above is by Jack Niven, who curated the project, and after the jump there are pieces by Megan Roniger and Stan Denniston.
