"Stacked No. 1"
Copenhagen sculptor Stig Persson brings out the interaction between the surface of glass and its inner poetry. Persson uses massive proportions in order to create tension between the size, the fragility and the transparency of the material. Through this, the focus is directed towards towards the silence within the glass. Glass is not an easy material to use in sculpture and Persson uses kiln cast leaded glass for most of the pieces in this collection.
