Rob Hardy keeps a close eye on crowds and the individual's role within groups. Hardy's work reflects the way people move and interact with each other and the space they are in. He celebrates ordinary people (many of his subjects have haloes hovering above their heads) and salutes their constant movement in the paintings, prints and drawings he has done over the years. The bold use of colour adds to the movement, as does the artist's use of line.
