The Painted Room is an installation by Chris Dorosz that is the recreation of a living room. Vertically strung monofilament hangs to form the framework or structure of the pieces, graced by hardened splotches of acrylic paint that add volume and colour to the pieces of furniture, further defining them. The viewer becomes part of the room as the spaces between the splotches allow one viewer to see the others whose presence becomes part of the installations.
