He Loves Me. He Loves Me Not. He Loves Me.
by sabine7 / August 5, 2008
Deborah Hamon captures the many emotions of girlhood in her paintings. Each stance, each look is recognizable – either we have seen it or done it ourselves. The attitudes, the crossed arms and the frank gaze are reflections of the self-confidence that can often mask great insecurity. Group dynamics come across quite clearly. We read postures and outfits as quickly as we decipher the look in their eyes. We see the innocence that will soon give way to further growth and its complications.
