"at what point will you stop leading the way?"
Scott Belcastro’s work seems, at first glance, to be composed of innocent images of houses and outdoor scenes. But look a little closer, and a pervasive loneliness comes to light. The houses are either under attack or instruments of doom (See Suicide Houses after the jump), vulnerable on hilltops, standing out against the backdrop of a beautiful, yet unfriendly, sky. Belcastro’s work, mostly acrylic on wood, is very expressive, and the viewer cannot help but hope that things will get better.
