Korin Faught’s first solo show, Twenty Two, opens at the Corey Helford Gallery in Culver City On March 22. Faught’s collections of paintings are often themed, and this one is no exception, revolving around Adele and her various selves. This plurality of self is typical of Faught’s work where double entendres and the confusion of mirror images or personalities take precedence. Twenty Two is a show comprised of 22 scenes that combine glamour, seduction and youth, all wrapped up in identity. But take a look back also to some of Faught’s previous work where hoods, bonnets and slips add to the mystery.
