Deborah Kass describes her new works as “feel good paintings for feel bad times”. What more can you ask for, given the times? Kass’ pop art pieces are bursts of vivid colour and straight up text that are anything but subtle. The artist uses the social and political climate of recent time to explore our sense of adjusted optimism. Reality has set in and we are no longer sure about our ability to make everything right.
