Adam Bridgland looks at the holiday in his recent works and the screen prints here are no exception. Bridgland likes to play with the idea that the holiday is a fantasy that rarely lives up to the pre-trip projections and predictions. These prints capture highlights and possibly the very best moments of the holidays they represent, but perhaps we’d be better off relaxing at home rather than inspecting roadside tourist attractions. Although we probably don’t have nearly as many rubber rings at home.
