Emily Barletta is a fibre artist who creates pieces of crochet work that are about are far removed from the traditional doily as they can possibly be. Center brings to mind corals and life undersea, while Spill is an island of tiny volcanoes. Pelt is fairly self-explanatory, but close-up, the detail is incredible, so intricate! Hundreds of tiny crocheted circles go into Barletta’s projects, but the fibre art does not stop there, as Barletta also includes embroidery in her oeuvre.
