The image of a heart is often present in the works in Anne Faith Nicholls, which makes perfect sense when one learns that she was born with a backwards heart. Nor does it come as a surprise that she is an antiques lover, as her style and subjects bear notes of the past. The world she creates is a formal, rainy place where the fires are never quite put out.
