Kim Fisher’s recent paintings are slices of colour, shine and light that burst out of the linen she tries to contain them on. Fisher’s use of lines within the shapes and forms project an image of shards of mirror or glass, which catches the light at every angle, incisive, sometimes blinding. Part of the linen background is left exposed to further intensify the experience. And size does matter: these are large pieces that pack a punch.
