Norwegian photographer Tom Sandberg employs such visual economy in his work that it is hard not to simply state, “Well, this is how all photography should be.” The quiet that exudes from Sandberg’s work is all about looking and truly seeing. One of the marvels of Sandberg’s black and white oeuvre is the shot of a clothed infant face down, its tiny starfish hands and peach fuzz head the parts of the photo that imbue the child with personality.
