Audrey Mucci creates assemblages out of everyday objects that have been discarded and she certainly has a way with a dishwashing liquid container. Mucci’s focus is on women’s issues and there is no beating about the bush as far as her views on the domestic life go. Wire hangers are recycled into statements about having nothing to wear, dishtowels are embroidered with an infinity of chores, Barbie bears the weight of an ironing board-cum-footstool, leaving the viewer to wonder when, or if, it will ever end.
