"Prostitution"
by sabine7 / April 10, 2007
The urban tribulations of Parisian artist Japone are depicted in his oils. He describes his subjects as urban human beings, which serves to remind us that although the grittiness of city living is something we often wish to turn away from, the characters at the core of are human, no matter how they portray themselves, or may be portrayed. Prostitutes, policemen and plain ol’ people on the metro are just as human, and therefore worthy, as the pretty girls.
