Sandra Fettingis is a digital artist who prints her graphic patterns and people on clear film and then mounts them on acrylic sheets, layering as she goes. By adding a dimension, Fettingis turns 2D prints into 3D works. A lot of Fettingis’ plexi-glass work takes a look at the way we think and our ideas as represented by the movement and shapes depicted in the patterns of hair and thoughts. Her subjects have clear, round heads that are superimposed by a swirl or rush of grey matter that isn’t simply grey.
