Although Lisa Alisa claims that her fave subjects are sparrows, the primary characters in most of her acrylics are young girls. Granted, the girls do entwine with various elements of nature as hair grows into an octopus or fish overdose on caffeine, but there is a very human presence as well, if you take the guns into consideration. But as Alisa puts it, “Life is a violent and beautiful thing, you die from it.” Let’s take a look at some of the more beautiful aspects, like an excess of gummy bears and Stella MacCartney.
