To choose just a few images from the work of Amanda Ross-Ho is no easy task. Restraining Order, made up of the detritus of the artist’s studio, lots of hot glue and fake balloons, is such a tidy mix of beverage containers and soldier-like balloons that is was impossible to resist. Likewise Ross-Ho’s work with bandannas bears a second glance, especially Hobo Stick, a piece that includes her entire wardrobe. And then there is the Bag Series, photos of artificial bags placed in trees to simulate the real thing. Nope, making the decision is far too subjective, what with liquid paper casts and whatnot. The only thing to do is to explore this artist’s website for an eyeful that will make your mind blink.
