Martin Parr by Val Williams is a lovely, thick volume of just that: oodles and oodles of Martin Parr. Parr is an English photographer who takes the mick along with his pictures. Parr is champion at poking fun at the way other people live and no one’s taste is safe from his scrutiny. This retrospective of Parr's work unites the artist’s sense of nostalgia and tradition with some his collections of knick-knacks and contains some excellent shots of seaside silliness and holiday humour, not to mention some visually, if not gastronomically, stunning examples of foods we eat.
