"Bulbous Grape Blossom"

New York artist harriet regina marion creates mixed media works that are textured abstractions full of colour and shape. Marion starts with two-dimensional digital compositions and then layers a variety of shapes and forms upon the base composition. Marion’s works are all about free association and a magpie mentality, as the artist is an avid collector of bits and pieces that she then incorporates into her works. And although the work is by and large abstract, stories take shape when the viewer looks at a piece long enough.
