Amanda Rhodenizer is a Nova Scotia artist and a recipient of the BMO 1st ART Invitational Student Art Competition where recent visual arts graduates are chosen from all over Canada. Rhodenizer creates detailed pictures, often working with acetate, ink, acrylic paint and epoxy resin on unprimed canvas. This results in a crisp image blending into a weathered state, a mix of not-really-old and new. Hits, Rhodenizer’s winning entry, is a large canvas of 5ft x 7 ft peopled with characters of black and white and grey who look amazing against the brown of the canvas.
