Letters to a Young Artist
Furthering a theme from a summer issue of Art on Paper magazine, Letters to a Young Artist, by Peter Nesbett, Sarah Andress and Shelly Bancroft, is a book comprised of letters from a fictitious young artist asking advice of two dozen established artists. The recent art school graduate is trying to deal with the struggle of being an artist in New York and questions his heroes quite earnestly in regard to ‘making it’. The answers are witty and insightful as to what it takes to carry on as an artist today.
