Adolescent girls are the objects of fascination for photographer Anna Gaskell who enjoys cropping her shots to create an atmosphere of eeriness. Her scenes are storybook-like and have been compared to Alice in Wonderland, but what we like best are the images that barely hint at Gaskell’s gaggle of girls. Knowing that they are there, but watching nature play its role as well allows the viewer to participate unseen in Gaskell's photos as the third party.
