Dietmar Lutz’s representational acrylics and watercolours almost look like someone’s holiday snapshots. Sort of like, “Oh, that’s Larry and Ginette in Paris, looking glam, as usual. And there’s Roy and Michael that afternoon, they were both in a good mood finally. Oh, never mind that one, it’s just my family at the beach, Dad always insists on pretending it’s warmer than it really is.” And even without imagined scenarios, well, they are simply nice to look at.
