"Tetti Veneziani"
by sabine7 / August 15, 2006

In a quiet corner of San Polo, Venetian artist Daniele Scarpa Kos has written and illustrated a tale of the rooftops of Venice, Tetti Veneziani. A series of fantastical vignettes makes up this fable that takes us far above the canals. The illustrations are as soft as the mystical quality of Scarpa Kos’ tone and it is tempting to close one’s eyes and drift off to a landscape of terra cotta tiles and quietly eccentric characters.
