Pastels | Aug 10, 2006

New York artist Lou Patrou uses pastels, watercolours and graphite to produce work that is almost tribal in nature. Colourful lines, strokes and shapes make up the forms of creatures and beings that are sometimes human, sometimes animal, but always with a touch of the mythical. Patrou’s palette does vary, but his range of blues and greens, with just enough warmth of reds and oranges, is clearly our favorite.
