Street Art: The Spray Files by Louis Bou is a handy overview of an extremely accessible art movement. Spray can art started to spring up in New York and Philadelphia in the late 60s and has now spread all over the world and engendered a variety of subgenres. Stickers, posters, stencils, murals and even street art characters are examined in this book by Bou, a Barcelona art director and photographer. Bou also takes a look at street artists with international reputations. It’s just hard to sit at home while flipping through.
