Emilie Rondeau’s abstract paintings catch the eye by way of colour and composition. Currently based in Halifax, Rondeau uses a mix of colours both soft and strong, rendering her work quite visually accessible. Light and line come into play and one could easily sit surrounded by a multitude of these paintings, as choosing cannot be easy. Rondeau’s recent works are a combination of acrylic and oil pastel on canvas and some of her smaller pieces are coated in resin.
