Equating American power to the foxhunt is how Rachel Owens chooses to use her mixed media skills. Her current installation includes a plaster foxhunt gone awry, rider thrown face first to the floor of the gallery. Newspaper front pages have been embellished with watercolour to show Rice and Cheney as Masters of the Hunt while paintings of more traditional late 19th century hunt scenes, including a portrait of B'rer Fox, hang to highlight another empire that met with decline.
