Trace Drury paints bunnies, birds, bees and bears who have been hanging out with an unsavoury crowd. Her latest exhibition, Unfortunate Occurrences in Happytown, brings together an assortment of stuffed animals and dolls who are living life (and sometimes taking it) on the edge. These disturbing scenes are set against backgrounds of the deep jewel tones of flocked wallpaper that lends an air of formality to the proceedings.
