Loretta Lux
by sabine7 / June 4, 2006

Loretta Lux by the German artist of the same name is a sweet look at 45 portraits that use a combination of painting, photography and digital imaging to create fairytale-like images of children set against imaginary backgrounds. These subjects of Loretta Lux seem more like dolls than children, looking all the world as though they are the keepers of some mysterious secret. And for a close-up of Lux’s work, there is a current exhibition at the Yossi Milo Gallery in New York through June 24th.

Hardcover, 88 pages, Aperture 2005, $22.05 at Amazon.
