Yutaka Sone is an artist difficult to pin down in terms of style or medium. Sone has brought us giant tumbling dice, a plethora of amusement park features and a happy birthday, but now he concentrates on the snowflake. Always a masterful carver of marble, Sone uses this skill to show how individual every snowflake must be. This thesis is continued by his work in wood, metal, paint and photography, Not only does he have a band named Snowflake, but it comes as no surprise that the artwork of Yutaka Sone was featured on lift tickets in Aspen this winter.
