"Happiness: Laughter (Cheryl)"
Before settling down to paint, Bobbie Moline-Kramer first takes hundreds of photos of her subjects in order to choose a couple of random emotions expressed on their faces. From there she begins her work, combining the images in order to distill the sentiment into one portrait. What she achieves is a face-to-face look at emotions common to us all. When we gaze into the eyes of Moline-Kramer’s subjects, it is hard not to wonder what it was that prompted those feelings to manifest themselves. It is even harder to stop oneself from smiling back at the portraits that share happiness.
