Matias Krahn is a Chilean artist based in Barcelona. There has been an evolution in the colours chosen by Krahn over the past few years, going from pale dusty roses and smoky greys to an insertion of sky blue and later more yellows, brightening and lightening up. The shapes have been changing as well, with more geometry in the mix of amoeba-like forms that make up his characters, which only sometimes resemble people. More often they are like animals or insects, but Krahn’s themes, such as family or the life cycle, are usually of a human nature.
