California painter William Wray is a landscape artist who concentrates on the gritty realities of the urban landscape. Wray does not try to pretty up the scenes around him, but in taking the time to make an artistic record of everyday structures, instills a quiet, understated beauty to his subjects. With his art, Wray tries to preserve, in some way, the twentieth century architecture that is fast being redeveloped. Wray brings his respect to the humbler landmarks on the horizon, those oft considered blights and allows us to see them from his perspective.
