Eric Fehrenbacher’s mixed media constructions are a colourful and intriguing way of exploring the relationship between landscapes and consumer cast-offs. Fehrenbacher creates fields of colour and texture using ingredients such as electronic parts, computer boards, gravel, sticks, aluminum cans, glass ornaments and salt and pepper shaker lids, usually combined with oil and encaustic on panel. The result is series of colour blocks with a dense topography culled from both natural and material goods.
