Greg Miller’s pop-art expressionism translates well into mixed-media collages. Having decided at the age of twelve that the artist’s life was the one he wanted to embrace, Miller integrates photos and other imagery into his works, often layering paint to create texture and depth. This California artist produces work that is reminiscent of old advertising or postcards of exotic locales, a world of fast cars and femmes fatales. There is something vaguely ‘rat-pack’ about Miller’s oeuvre, an appealing seediness, tarted up just so.
