Liz Magic Laser is a NY photographer keen on examining the relationship between people and liquid: her subjects are either immersed in it or it is springing forth from them. Laser's analogy here is liquid as communication, or connection. Oft times the liquid expelled from the subject forms a link to someone, or something, else. When the subject is surrounded by liquid, be it inky, creamy, bubbly or otherwise, the immersion acts as container, framing the subject in an unexpected way.
