Cornish painter Andrew Litten is sure to enjoy success with the figurative works from his latest series Ordinary Bodies, a collection of regular folk doing the bog standard stuff that makes up a life. From hoovering up the daily dirt, to putting on ones best face, Ordinary Bodies takes place on an assortment of board, an undeveloped Polaroid, an old metal box and envelopes, making use of hair, plastic arms and tiny doll accessories. For someone who once believed that an artist was like an almost fictitious historical figure, Litten has seen that leading an adult life centred around making paintings is indeed a viable option.
