Hungarian-born photographer Andre Kertesz is celebrated at Washington’s National Gallery of Art until May 15. Although Kertesz died in 1985, his treatment of line and shape in photography created a lasting impression on an ever-changing art form. Every once in a while it does the soul some good to reflect upon the works, or legacies, really, of early MoCo pioneers.
