Hungarian-born photographer Andre Kertesz is celebrated at Washington’s National Gallery of Art until May 15. Although Kertesz died in 1985, his treatment of line and shape in photography created a lasting impression on an ever-changing art form. Every once in a while it does the soul some good to reflect upon the works, or legacies, really, of early MoCo pioneers. This retrospective of over one hundred prints will be in LA from June 15 until September 5. Ah, to be a black and white photo of Paris …
