+ Lovegrove & Repucci are launching the new London Delft series of porcelain dinnerware. The five-piece settings bring the London streets to the table in an unusual, yet traditional, manner.

+ Brad Ascalon’s glass and wood Spindle Table for Ligne Roset has quite the deceptive name … we were not expecting anything as sleek as all this!

+ Wendell Castle will be showing some new works of sculptural furniture at Barry Friedman from May 1, including this fibreglass Nirvana chair finished in iridescent automobile-grade urethane that seems to change colour.

+ Mimmo is a chair designed by Jóse Francisco Argotty Benavides that will be exhibited in Colombia’s furniture show as part of the Diseñarte living room display.

+ Frank & Stanimira Rafaschieri have designed a change table for babies that will suit the adults as well, as there is a place for the adult to sit while changing the baby in the walled sectioned that can later be reversed to fit into the seat. When the child is finally diaper-free, the unit can be used as a table or seating.

Florian Kräutli has sent us his newest projects, the Magnetic Curtain above and Animal Chairs. Says Florian, the Magnetic Curtain is "A curtain which you can shape to any form", magnets embedded in the curtain fabric allow the user to shape the curtain innumerable ways, both open and closed. His Animal Chairs have metal skeletons beneath its upholstery made of recuperated metal; "I found [the metal] in the dump based on anatomical rules. Like an archaeologist who finds a dinosaur skeleton.".

Inspired by her grandmother’s needlework, Frédérique Morrel was upset that it was discarded when she passed away. This has been her motivation for salvaging vintage tapestries to create 0ne-of-a-kind soft furnishings and accessories. Frédérique Morrel products are a mix of needlework themes: idyllic alpine scenes are juxtaposed with old masters or cartoon kittens. The lunchbox above is a clever take on typical fast food containers, and there is a great cabin-chic lamp after the jump.
