+ Lovegrove & Repucci are launching the new London Delft series of porcelain dinnerware. The five-piece settings bring the London streets to the table in an unusual, yet traditional, manner.

+ We are looking forward to seeing Bev Hisey’s new hand-knotted rugs at ICFF. The rugs are inspired by oil paintings her grandmother did in the 1950s and are as effective as wallhangings as floorcoverings.

Danish Crafts, an independent design group under the Danish Ministry of Culture, will be presenting the latest Crafts Collection at the end of the week at ICFF. Crafts Collection 12 will feature works that look at safe sex, animal welfare and fair trade by way of a refined mix of materials, technique and humour. Over 20 designers and craftspeople have been chosen to participate in this collection of furniture, glassware, textiles, ceramics and jewellery. Marko Macura will premiere some new designs in the Zona Tortona area of Milan next week, in a shared exhibit with Jacco Bregonje called Reflectons. The Sulla Luna Bench, previously available in brass or aluminium, will be presented in two metres of black, along with the Nebula lamp and Mimi after the jump.

Help is a new line of healthcare products designed by Richard Fine who was inspired when shopping for pain relievers for a headache. The experience only made his head hurt more: the ugly packaging screamed out slogans under the neon lights, adding to the confusion. Fine’s response was to create simple packaging out of soft molded paper pulp, designed to be calming. The first two products are “help I have a headache” and “help I’ve cut myself”, tablets and bandages, respectively.
