Color coded clock.
Coulheur is a play on the words color and hour in French. “Bettina Dadon's clock takes the three primary colours, shades them off and divides them… on three transparent disks which are associated with the three time units respectively.” France’s Valorisation de l'Innovation dans l'Ameublement is an organization that promotes French designers. VIA selected Coulheur as well as Guillaume Bardet's Equilibre neon motion lamp, Clémentine Chambon's LED Light Curtain, Severine Szymanski's Brike floral partition, and Nestor Perkal's modular Sybila table to sponsor this year among others. Coulheur and the other selected designs are prototypes in search of a manufacturer.

Minimalist day bed.
From a collection called One by Danish furniture maker Hay, this is Leif Jorgensen’s One Day Bed. Architect-designer Jorgensen also created the Round One, a chair in the same minimalist style. In the extended view of this item you can also see Hay’s black leather Viva Lounge sofa designed by Anne Heinsvig.

Video art for plasma screens.

Armchair made with steel wire.
The Campana brothers have created another superlative art chair for Edra. Corallo “is an armchair made with steel wire curved by hand and finished with epoxy paints the colour of coral. Its irregular weave, different for each item, resembles coral branches.”. Also from Edra, Peter Traag’s Sponge chair “the result of a technological innovation that allowed to obtain a firm but soft seat” and Francesco Binfaré’s On the Rocks sofa “made up of four irregularly shaped elements that can be assembled in various ways”.

LED ceramic floor and wall tiles.
What can I say, I like light emitting diodes… Royal Mosa Ultragres ceramic tiles have integrated LED’s in their center. The 45 x 45 cm and 60 x 60 cm LED tiles feature the same thickness, quality and installation time as regular tiles. Created for use in interior floors in public areas (but surely not limited to that).

Parabolic floor lamp.
“The Satellight from DFP can illuminate the ceiling as well as providing indirect wall illumination…”. Satellight features a variable height aluminum tripod, adjustable diffuse illumination up to 3200 lumen and a unique parabolic cap covered with special white stretch fabric. DFP also makes The Seat, a multifunctional low seat system expandable with modular elements which can be linked to create a bench, as well as Hi-Low, an aluminum wall illuminator/sconce with an adjustable light beam for up or down lighting, or a combination of both.
