"Growing your own fruit and vegetables is all the rage. Yet, not everyone knows what to do with a bumper crop." says Bijlefeld.

Bijlefeld's hand-operated Farming Food Processor cleans, peels and slices fruit and vegetables into pieces, preparing the harvest for immediate use in the kitchen, or storage in the freezer.

Excess vegetation can then be recycled where it is needed most; as compost in the garden.

Bijlefeld was inspired by her own childhood experiences with kitchen gardens: "Where I grew up, everyone had a big vegetable garden, that was the norm."
